Secure AI Adoption. Govern AI Risk. Protect the Business.
Virtual Chief AI Security Officer (vCAISO) counsel for boards and executives. Independent AI security leadership from vCyberBoard Advisor: assess AI agents, frontier AI and model and data risks, and prepare for ISO/IEC 42001 through an AIMS (Artificial Intelligence Management System) informed advisory approach.
AI security, as a board discipline.
AI security strategy & accountability
Board-level strategy and accountability for AI: ownership, decision rights, risk appetite and reporting for intelligent systems.
AI agent & agentic-system security
Identity, least privilege, tool permissions, prompt-injection defence, monitoring, human approval gates and emergency shutdown for autonomous agents.
Frontier AI & advanced-model threat exposure
Where advanced and frontier models create new exposure, and what your organisation should monitor, test and control.
LLM, model, data & supply-chain security
Security of LLM applications, models, data flows, RAG and vector stores, and the third-party AI supply chain they depend on.
AI red teaming, monitoring & incident response
Adversarial testing of AI systems, runtime monitoring and an incident response practice extended to AI-specific failures.
ISO/IEC 42001 readiness
Gap assessment, implementation roadmap, documentation, evidence preparation, internal audit and certification-readiness support for an AI management system.
vCISO or vCAISO.
vCISO covers enterprise cybersecurity.
The Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) service addresses enterprise cybersecurity leadership: security strategy, cyber-risk management, security governance and regulatory readiness across NIS2, DORA, ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR.
vCAISO specializes in AI-specific security risks.
The vCAISO (Virtual Chief AI Security Officer) addresses the security risks specific to AI: agents and agentic systems, frontier models, LLM applications, data and supply chains, AI incident response and ISO/IEC 42001 readiness.
You may request either or both. Where AI security and enterprise cybersecurity intersect, the two services align rather than duplicate.
Measure AI security before you fund it.
ISO/IEC 42001 defines the Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), and that management-system model is the guiding reference for this offering. We label our service an AIMS-informed AI Security Assessment. It is not an official AIMS certification, and ISO/IEC 42001 certification is issued by an independent certification body, not by vCyberBoard Advisor.

Maturity scale
Each category is rated on a five-level scale: Initial, Developing, Defined, Managed, Optimized. Unknown or not yet assessed is a permitted answer, and is often the honest one.
Preliminary prioritized roadmap
The assessment generates a preliminary, prioritized roadmap with gaps, business impact, recommended actions, owners and indicative time horizons.
Self-assessment and validated assurance
The self-assessment on this page is preliminary and not independently validated. The AIMS-informed assessment engagement provides independently validated assurance.
vCyberBoard Advisor does not issue ISO/IEC 42001 certificates. Formal certification is performed by an independent certification body.
