Cookie Policy
vCyberBoard Advisor uses a minimal set of cookies and local storage, aligned with the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. Optional technologies load only after you consent through the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small data files stored on your device. Local storage works similarly, in the browser. We use both sparingly and only where they are necessary to operate the site and the secure client portal, or where you have given consent.
2. Cookie categories
The cookie banner and the Cookie Settings link in the footer let you manage three categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for essential website functions, security and consent storage. Always active.
- Analytics: measures website visits, traffic sources, page views, returning visitors and interactions with important content. Off unless you enable it.
- Marketing and visitor intelligence: advertising campaign measurement. Loaded only if you enable it. No business visitor-identification tools are installed.
Your consent is never inferred from continued browsing, and optional categories are never preselected.
3. Consent storage
Your choices and the date of your decision are stored on your device in local storage under the key vcb_cookie_consent. The record contains only your category settings, a version number and a timestamp; it holds no personal data. It is renewed after 12 months, after which the banner asks you to choose again. Rejecting optional cookies prevents the corresponding technologies from loading.
4. Technologies in use
- Consent record (strictly necessary): local storage, set by this website, retained until you clear it or it expires after 12 months. Purpose: remembering and enforcing your cookie choice.
- Google Analytics 4 (analytics): Google Ireland Ltd., measurement ID G-747VNCSLVS. First-party
_gacookies holding a random client identifier, with Google retention for this property limited to a maximum of 14 months. Purpose: aggregate measurement of site usage. Loaded only after you enable the analytics category. Not used for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking. - Google Ads tag (marketing): Google Ireland Ltd., conversion ID AW-18438495248, running under Google Consent Mode v2. Google advertising cookies may be set only after you enable the marketing category, with ad data redaction enabled. Purpose: measuring the performance of our own advertising campaigns.
- Authentication and session tokens (strictly necessary): required to keep you signed in to the client portal. These cannot be disabled if you want portal access.
No marketing automation, session recording or company visitor-identification technology is installed. If that changes, this page and the consent categories will be updated first, and the technology will load only after your consent.
5. Managing your consent
Use the Cookie Settings link in the website footer to reopen your preferences at any time, change a category, or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future optional tracking on your next page load. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings; removing the consent record will show the banner again, and removing authentication cookies will sign you out of the portal.
6. Updates
If we add or change a cookie category, we will update this page and, where consent is required, surface a choice before the cookie is set. Changing the consent record version renews your choice request automatically.
